Functions

The Communications Division handles 911 emergency services and provides dispatch services for numerous law enforcement agencies, EMS, and Volunteer Fire Departments in Cooke County. The Communications Division is staffed 24/7 by dispatchers who are certified Telecommunication Operators through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. Dispatchers are trained in the use of Computer Aided Dispatch systems, NCIC/TCIC databases, and records management systems. In 2022, total calls for service were 28,683 and 15,360 of those were 911 calls.
